Google ‘Sabrina’ Android TV dongle leaked in new Android 11 Developer Preview

Google Sabrina Android TV dongle leak

Google today released an Android 11 Developer Preview for Android TV, and a file packed inside appears to confirm the design of Google’s oft-rumored “Sabrina” dongle.

The new Android 11 Developer Preview for Android TV is only available for the ADT-3 Android TV device that Google launched earlier this year. If you’ve got one, you can download the system image and manually flash Android 11, but one thing to keep in mind is that you won’t be able to go back to Android 10 after upgrading.

The folks at 9to5Google dove into this Android 11 Developer Preview for Android TV and found a video that shows how to restart Google’s “Sabrina” Android TV dongle. The design matches the one we’ve seen in recent leaks, showing a pebble-shaped dongle with a “G” logo.

Google’s new Android TV dongle has been rumored for months now, with reports suggesting it’ll include HDMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4K HDR support. It’s also been said that it’ll include a remote with playback controls and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

Past reports have said that Google could launch this new Android TV dongle sometime this summer at price that’s at or below $80, but it’s possible that the coronavirus pandemic may have changed those plans.
