Moto G9 Plus official with 6.8-inch display, 64MP camera, and 5000mAh battery

Moto G9 Plus gold official

A recent leak revealed that the Moto G9 Plus was coming soon with a big screen and an equally big battery, and now it’s been made official by Motorola.

The Moto G9 Plus features a 6.8-inch FHD+ display with a hole-punch where its 16MP selfie camera lives. Around back is a rectangular camera bump with four more cameras, including a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide with 118-degree field of view, 2MP macro cam for close-ups, and a 2MP depth camera.

Inside the Moto G9 Plus, Motorola has crammed a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 730G processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. There’s a microSD card slot, too, if you want to add more storage.

The battery in the Moto G9 Plus is a massive 5000mAh cell. And the good news is that Motorola has included 30W TurboPower fast charging support so that you can refill that big battery quickly when it’s drained.

Rounding out the spec list of this new Moto phone is a side-mounted fingerprint reader, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 10.

The Moto G9 Plus is priced at $2,499 Brazilian Real ($470 USD). It’s unclear when the Moto G9 Plus might make its way to other parts of the globe, but last week the phone was prematurely revealed by a European carrier with a price tag of €255 euros ($302 USD).
